I do need an extra machine just for mobiles and deliveries though. Not with the volume of orders we have now. It's not perfect but I don't think I'd go back to handwriting cups. I will hit the Iced button first, or the size, and start punching in the rest of the drink just to notice that the system didn't register the first key and I almost sent the drink wrong.
With the Ask Me feature and the sheer number of buttons you can press now (double-edged sword cause new people can't find the specific button for SCCF for example) it's usually pretty clear what the drink is.

And then you'd drop them while moving them etc. I remember once we had a line going from bar 1 all the way across bar 2 and around the corner into the drive-thru area of cups just waiting to be made. Every time I wrote Ch for Chai they would read it as CM for caramel macchiato.Īnd the cup lines could get pretty serious when the drinks backed up.
